Description

1973 Ford F100 Ranger XLT short-bed with in-dash A/C, power brakes & power steering, and 390 big block. Truck runs and drives. I originally purchased from a friend who purchased it from an old farmer (original owner). I'm told the miles are original as it sat in a TN barn for many years. The body is in excellent condition. The tailgate has rust spots (in the metal) and the driver's side door has metal that needs cut out and replaced at the window molding. Other than that, the metal on this truck is in excellent shape. All of the "rust" is in the oxidized paint or is surface rust. The frame and cab mounts are perfect (cab mounts are typical culprits on these old trucks). The floorboards are in great shape. The body lines are straight and the margins are good. The doors open and shut perfectly. The door jams are solid (very rare). The inner fenders and radiator supports are in great shape. All of the moldings are in good shape. The glass is in good shape although all the window seals need replaced.

The truck can sit for weeks and start right up. The original owner converted to an Edelbrock 4-barrel intake and carb (I still have the originals). The A/C compressor, expansion valve and dry filter were replaced 3-4 years ago when it was converted to 134a (the fan motor needs replaced). Other than that, nearly everything is original. Truck currently starts and runs and I drive it locally about once a week...it's fun to drive and has plenty of power.I have a new master cylinder/booster in a box waiting to be installed. The tires are not in great shape but are OK for now.

This is a rare combination (short-bed, big block, & factory air). I watched for this combination for a LONG time and bought the first one I found that was unrestored.Nearly ALL the restoration parts are available reasonably through LMCtruck.com. My plans were to do a "freshen up" rebuild to the motor this winter (new seals and gaskets) and to replace the interior...with a re-spray planned for next summer. Unfortunately, my family's plans and priorities have changed. This truck trailers very nicely on a U-Haul $59 hauler.

I can send more pics and details by contacting me at christopherdavis1227 at gmail dot com. I will NOT consider selling outside of this listing. The truck is located near Cincinnati, OH. I will provide reasonable help in arranging delivery but shipping is NOT included in this sale price.
