1989 Ford Bronco 2

Description

Up for auction is a 1989 Ford Bronco 2. It has a 2.9 v6, automatic transmission and auto lock hubs. Runs, drives and stopsgood. The body is solid, straight with no external rust. Replaced driver side front fender and welded in patch panels on rear wheel wells. Floors are solid and all glass is good. Has a cheap enamel paint job, sort of a satin tan that looks decent. When I bought the vehicle it had a blown head gasket. Put in another motor with around 90,000 miles on it. Transmission shifts ok. Transfer case shifts with push buttons. A/C not working andthe heater controls need work. The interior is ok. newer headliner, seats from an Eddie Bauer and the carpet could use a good cleaning. It has a new radiator, starter, muffler, side mirrors andrear hatch struts. Not sure if the cruise works, dome light switch not working, power windows a little slow coming up and the radio works but not the right one for that year. Has fresh oil and filter. Fresh antifreeze. Will need fluid and filter change in transmission. Differential and transfer case might needoil change. I drive it locally but would not take it on a long trip just yet without checking tire balance and alignment.
The title shows high miles (443000 do notthink this is accurate) and the DMV will not change it.The Bronco 2 is solid, does not show a lot of wear and tear. I have seen cars with 200k in much worst shape.It would make a good daily driver or trail vehicle. I have a set of shop manuals and owners manualsthat go with it. It has 31 inch tires on it with good tread on them. It rides a little rough because of the big tires and short wheel base. The rear has3-4 inch lift blocks added by a previous owner, the front has not been lifted. I added the roof rack and spare tire carrier. I have a center console from another Bronco 2, a brand new auto locking hub and a head gasket set from the original motor that I will include with it.I was fixing this up for a hunting and fishing vehicle but I bought a newer SUV. I listed it for my lowest price that I need to get out of it. Itruns and drives and has a good solid body for a 28 year old vehicle. Not perfect. Thanks for looking.
