Description

This 1940 Ford is 100% steel and built with only top shelf, name brand products.

This build started with an impeccably restored original 1940 Ford. The vehicle was painstakingly disassembled by a seasoned hot rod builder.

Chrome parts were all packaged up and sent out for re-plating while the frame was delivered to none other than Martz Chassis in Bedford, PA where it was professionally boxed for strength, new coil-over suspension was installed front and rear, dual stainless exhaust was added as well as a 20 gallon stainless steel fuel tank. Then it was all broken down again and prepped for a show quality paint job that matches the body. The chassis now rides on staggered Budnik Custom billet aluminum wheels, which are fitted with 205/65/15 up front and 255/70/15 out back. The wheel/tire combo tuck under these smooth fenders perfectly for that bitchin’ look.

The 383 Chevy engine is complete with Corvette heads, Sanderson headers, 4 barrel carb, and a mild street cam. The transmission is a Turbo 350 3 speed automatic controlled by an authentic Gennie Shifter. It has a bullet-proof 9 inch Ford rear-end with parallel four bar coil over and panard bar. It has an emergency brake.

This is an all-steel body. The body was sent to The Hot Rod Garage, Inc. in Denton, MD. You can check out their amazing work atwww.thehotrodgarage.com. Once there, the steel body was carefully gone over by their fine craftsmen and any imperfections were addressed.

The wiring harness is a Ron Francis wiring harness. The fuse panel is in the glove box.

The rest of the interior is equally as impressive as the exterior with custom leatherwork done in white by The Hot Rod Garage. The dash was replaced with a custom unit that houses a new tilt/power steering column, push button start, custom wrapped billet steering wheel, and all new VDO gauges.

The truck has 5500 miles on it and is in very very nice condition.

The truck has heat, but the air was not installed.
