1950 Ford Custom Deluxe Sedan
Completely original 2 owner car with 79,408 miles on it. Purchased new in 1950 at a Southern California dealer and has remained here ever since. The vehicle was driven 77,400 by 1977 and sat idle in the garage until 1991. It was sold to the second owner in 1993 and and parked indoors until 2009... A full mechanical restoration commenced in September 2009. Factory original paint and interior. Starts right up and drives beautifully. Vehicle comes with full documentation...every receipt, service invoice, photograph will be included in the sale. Original keys and license plates will also be included. A vehicle of such provenance is very difficult to come by, let alone in this condition. Many detailed and high resolution pictures, so be patient as they load. Services completed are as follows:
Fuel System - New 17 gallon gas tank/sending unit, filler-neck hose replaced, new fuel pump w/filter, and rebuilt carburetor.
Lubrication System - Pan & filter unit flushed, driven 200 miles and oil/filter replaced again.
Ignition System - Replaced spark plugs, plug wiring, points/condenser, and distributor cap/rotor.
Coolant System - Flushed engine block and radiator, replaced 2 thermostats/2water pumps/4 hoses and replaced heater hoses.
Braking System - Replaced master brake cylinder (new)/4 wheel cylinders/new brake shoes/4 brake drums turned and 3 rubber brake lines.
Suspension/Steering/Wheels - 4 new OE style Wagner shocks, front wheel bearings cleaned and re-packed, steering gear box rebuilt by C&G Early Ford Parts Company, shift mechanism restored and lubed, and 4 new 650 x 15 white wall tires and tubes.
Transmission/Driveline - Overdrive output seal and kick-down switch replaced and driveshaft replaced with 2 grease-able universal joints. Exhaust System - Replaced header pipe, muffler and tail pipe.
