Description

Hello

You are bidding on a 1966 Mustang coupe. Itis an original V8 automaticcar with Pony interiorand power steering. Itis an original California car that has spent its entire life in California only until the last year and a half that it has been here in Nevada.

Door Tag info reads: BODY 65B COLOR 8 TRIM 66A DATE 17B DSO71 TRANS 6 6

Condition is as follows:

Body:

Overall an extremely solid body that has all original body panels. From front to back...

Front clip is very straight, no rust, no damage. Doors andjambs, excellent, no rust or damage, doors hang and shut good, window and door regulators work good. Roof and window channels/pillars/sail panels/package tray lip/dash panel, all straight and solid, no rust. Cowl and sheet metal forward of windshield, straight and solid, no rust. Nice decklid and straight taillight panel and corners, never hit, no damage or rust. Trunk and trunk extensions also solid, no rust. Quarter panels basically straight and no major damage or accidents. Minor rust just starting around the wheel wellopenings and one small spot just above the rocker panel but that`s it. Minor skim coat of filler on passenger side quarter panel rearward of the wheel opening from a minor dent but that`s it. No this car does not need quarter panels or major patch panels, just a couple of spots repaired. Floors, torque boxes, firewall, inner frontfenders, frame rails, rocker panels, wheel well lips, inner and outer rear wheelhouses are allnice/super solid. Only one spot of rust on the floor about the size of my thumb that needs repaired and that`s it. All glass is in good shape, windshield is cracked. Most of the trim, bumpers grilletc are straight and in good shape. Windwing chrome is in good shape, no pitting, wing rubber is good also.

Drivetrain:

Recently rebuilt engine with new accessories, water pump, radiator, battery etc. Previous owner said the rebuild is theoriginal engine and was only driven onoccasional weekends since the rebuild. Carb is a rebuilt original 2bbl. Dual exhaustis in great shape. Engine fires right up every time. The car runs, drives, shifts, and stops well, no pulling but I have not had it on a long drive of any kind.Doesn`t overheat or smoke. Tires are infair condition.Power steering belt was removed when I bought the car, it appears because of a bad pump. Overall, with a weekend of tinkering thiswould easily be a dependable daily driver.

Interior:

Tiredoriginal interior as you can see, but complete and intact. Everything serviceable as is. Steering column is tight. Blinkers, brake, headlamp/high and low beam, turn signals and all courtesy lights work great. Gauges are all in good working order as well as wipers.Headliner is in EXCELLENT condition!
