1930 MODEL A FORD DELUXE ROADSTER DUAL SIDE MOUNTS RESTORED
Description
The reserve on this car is set lower than most of the Model A's out there for sale. This car is being relisted due to a buyer who's "wife couldn't get in the car and decided not to take it." I am open to reasonable offers. Please don't waste my time with low ball offers.
The car is originally a South Carolina car with a clean body and all steel, was fully restored with the body-off the frame. This is a private sale - not a dealer. The car is located in Poughkeepsie, NY, 12603.
It's a 1930 Model A deluxe, dual side mount, roadster restored in 2012 and finished 2015. The car has been garage kept, 2200 miles since restoration and a nice example. Runs super! Nice top.Over the last year we have gone to 25 cruises and shows and the car received a trophy each time and severalbest of show awards. Great driver or show it. The car wasn't restored to be a AACA point car, because I like to drive my vehicles, but it is super presentable and one of the better examples I have seen. Paint an 8-9 out of 10 with a few flaws. The engine was gone through completely and has new Babbitt. I put 800 miles on the car last month alone. Everything works. Interior is like new. No carpet stains. There are many new parts on the car and too many to list. Underside of the car is clean. Drive it anywhere. Small oil leak, but this is normal for a 1930 Model A Ford. The drive trainwas a professional rebuild. The paint was professionally done paint.
NEW/REBUILT PARTS: carburator, distributor, stone guard, clock mirror, step plates, clock mirror, rubber seals, brakes, coil, wires, fresh chrome, radiator core, hoses, water pump(porcelain), Babbitt, engine rebuild, trans rebuild, engine bay detail, gas gauge, four blade fan for better cooling, amp meter, wind wings, deluxe tire covers and mirrors, trunk, car cover, belt, generator and starter rebuild. Nicely detailed under the hood.
Last week - new fluids, points, and much more. Standard 3 speed manual. The vehicle is all stock and not modified. The car cruises at 45 MPH(though the speedometer is slightly off). The car has sealedbeam headlights for better night driving. It was converted during the restoration and is easily converted back to the original look if you prefer it. It does make a significant difference to be able to drive the car at night. It could use a set of new tires - the are getting cracked.
The car holds a South Carolina VIN number plate, as the state of S.C. requires, but is now located and registered New York.New York doesn't require a title, only a signed registration and bill of saleto transfer ownership.
Buyer is responsible for pickup/delivery and all expenses associated with it. I will assist to get it on a trailer if needed. Please ask questions.
I will assist to get the car onto a car trailer if you send a carrier. I am also flexible on the time you need to pickup the car, but the vehicle needs to be paid for within 7 days from date of purchase.
The car is being sold as is, where is, without any expressed or implied warranty. I would prefer the buyer sees the car first before purchasing. If you choose not to make the effort to see the vehicle in person and than complain because you don't like something after the car is delivered - you own the car. There are no returns.
This was not a pieced together car nor was it a wreck. The car was a complete vehicle.
I will require a $500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of purchase via pay pal and the rest in cash or bank transfer only. No checks will be accepted. I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime as I will be advertising the car locally.
