1972 original 64k miles T-bird
((((NO RESERVE)))) Winning bidder gets it!!!
Up for sale on E-bay, from an estate sale, a two owner, garage kept, all original personal luxury”72 Thunderbird. The '72 were a one model year style, no big government bumpers on this sleek beauty. This was my dads car, he has just recently passed away. I have no room to keep this wonderful example of a "72 T-Bird. This fully loaded, all Original 63K mile car has to go. Note; it is in very nice shape for a 45 year old car!
This car has been well maintained for its entire life!!! The boulevard ride keeps out road noise as she floats down the road. a big the original 429 4v V8 engine, backed up to a C6 trans and large 9inch rear, this bird can really fly. The engine starts right up without any smoking or knocking sounds at all! She has zero issues with the power train.
Options include, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power windows, Power antenna, tilt steering wheel, speed control, cornering lights.; it even has its original Am/Fm Ford Philco stereo right down to the original knobs.
The climate control A/C needs to be recharged, the compressor cycles & is free & not seized.
Here is the real kicker; the enterier of this car is wonderful, & it has the ultra rare option of Bucket Seats, (black) and a full console. Yup, when was the last time you saw a big bird 1972-74 with buckets? Most of these big birds came with split bench seats, but not this one. The interior is wow, seats, dash pad, headliner, sun visors are all in wonderful condition, no cracks, or rips. It’s wow inside.
Finished in its original glamour green paint, with lime green painted pin stripes it’s topped with the original black alligator vinyl top adored with its factory (s) landau bars, this big cruiser bird is a real looker & the last of the big Detroit iron. It’s style is dripping in ‘70’s classy cool!!!
Again, this car is in nice shape, but I do not want to misrepresent the car. This is not a show car. It has normal small door dents that were gifts from parking lots. The car has a small dent in the right rear quarter panel along the fender molding. The car comes with a NOS molding for replacement. The hood has three small dents, but nothing that could not be repaired. It has minor rust in the usual places, the size of a quarter on the lower rear quarter & the leading edge of the bottom of the doors, & above the rear wheel arch under the molding. The fuel gauge works but when full, shows half full. The brakes work but have a soft peddle. The power antenna needs a new gear installed, the motor still operates.
The correct color keyed original wheel covers as shone off the car in the trunk come with the car. The LTD wheel covers as shone in the photos on the car WILL NOT. My Dad liked the LTD covers better than the colored keyed covers.
I’ve tried to present the car the best I can. Please see photos. If you have any questions call 609-280-0064
