1967 MustangOriginal A code 289ci 4bbl with a C4 automatic and 8-inch differential. Now has a built 429 with C6 and 9 inch.
EngineBoss 429 block C9AE-E. Balanced and blue printed with high volume oil pump. Early Cobra Jet Heads DOOE-R with adjustable valves, match ported to the rare aluminum Shelby intake manifold. MSD 6AL control box with MSD distributor and coil. Holley 850 double pumper. Aluminum Ron Davis radiator with dual electric fans. Optima red top battery has been relocated to the trunk with 1ott cable. Vintage A/C has been installed and is mechanically fine. There is a problem with the rheostat in the control head that will need to be addressed before it is fully operational.
TransmissionBuilt C6 with with larger drums and HD clutches. new servos and bands. Shifts hard when needed but will drive civilized when cruzing. The tranny pan will leave a few drops of oil on the ground if stored.
Differential And ChassisFord 9 inch Traction-Loc with 3.73 gears. Weld in frame connectors have been installed to help stiffen the chassis. Dual exhaust with 50 series Flowmaster mufflers. The factory shock towers have been deleted to make room for the Big Block 429. A Heidt's rack and pinon front end was installed with power steering. Front disc brakes with braided steel lines. Newer tires on original Ford steel rally wheels.
Body and PaintBeautiful two stage base/clear jet black paint. the silver stripes have been cleared and look awesome. 3" fiberglass cowl hood with the appropriate springs and hood locks. The black vinyl top still looks new. Very straight body that appear to still have all it's original panels. Shelby side scoops have been added. The floors are solid and have not been patched. Very nice chrome throughout. The Mustang was painted in 2004 so there are some small chips and imperfections.
InteriorVery nice two tone silver and black tweed. Chrome tilt aftermarket steering column. All the lights and gauges are operational. New aftermarket AM/FM radio that looks and fits like the original.
