This 67 convertible is a very nice example of a vintage car that can be driven and enjoyed as it is.
This a San Jose produced and California dwelling car foralmost all of it's life.Very solid car...No rust! Original factory color and trimwas Sauterne Gold with an IvyGold interior. Very early in its life it was repainted with Night Mist Blue and the interior was converted to Light Parchment.
The paint is "driver" quality and has the variousminor chips and dings that you would expect from an older paint job but still presents itself very nicely. The body is straight and clean with the exception of one small area behind the driver's side wheel well that appears to have gotten too close to a parking lot divider. The interior is similar in that it is showing some wear but, it's very clean and, again, presents very well. The original dash pad is still in place and is as nice and clean as you will find anywhere...no splits, bubbles, etc. The carhas its original convertible top which is showing a bit of minor wear but it goes up and down smoothly, locks in place, etc. The undercarriage shows no damage or rust and still exhibits the original red oxide primer in many areas.
The car retains its original 289 2V (C code) engine as well as all of the original California smog gear. Having only 51,000 miles which are believed to be original, the engine starts easily and runs smoothly. The C4 automatic transmission cleanly shifts. The brakes are solid and firm.
The car was lightly optioned as follows:
