Description

This Mustang King Cobra was recently 100% restored from bumper to bumper, side to side and top to bottom. Every nut and bolt has been touched and either replaced or restored. Only about 4,313 King Cobras were made in 1978. This particular car boasts a totally rebuilt 302 CID V8, 4bbl engine running through a rebuilt C4 automatic transmission. It has brand new wiring harnesses, fuel lines, gas tank and a complete new set of brakes, front shocks and air shocks in rear. New complete suspension. This car was stripped and rotisseried. It took three and a half years to fully restore and cost well over six figures to complete. A 600 CFM Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor sits on top of a chrome Edlebrock Performer 302 intake. There are presently a little over 900-miles on the newly rebuilt engine and it breathes through Hooker headers, 2.5-inch H-pipes, and a brand-new set of Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers with dual chrome exhaust tips. It has sub-frame stabilizers. This car has a custom deep red paint color with black Cobra stripes and a hand-painted Cobra Snake emblem on the custom hood. It sports a Cobra II chrome gas cap. The Mustang is well optioned with AM/FM radio (Technology of the day), power brakes, new custom gauges, working digital clock, seat belts, custom newly recovered vinyl red and black interior seats with the Mustang emblem each headrest and custom red and black dash. It sits on 16-inch aftermarket custom chrome fox body wheels with Cobra chrome center caps, new tires, 302 engine side badging, Cobra snake decals, bumper guards, and side and rear black louvers. It has custom tinted glass all around. AC was not installed but can be by new owner. Still have original honeycomb wheels that can go with the car. With all of the custom touches (too many to list), this Mustang is a must see. This is a car for the Mustang collector or someone wanting a unique car to take to car shows. It recently won first in class for its custom paint at a car show in Arizona. The paint is breathtakingly perfect with absolutely no waves that one would normally see in many restored vehicles. Additional pictures of the restoration can be provided. Please call (520) 220-1239 to learn more about this rare gem. This car is listed for sale in multiple websites.
