Description

1951 Ford F-1 with 1978 Ford 300 6 Cylinder Engine and 3 Speed Manual Transmission. Truck has Clear title. The Engine has low mileage and was transplanted along with it's original Transmission into the F-1 Frame. The Engine has the 1978 Electronic Ignition System and Two Barrel Carburetor. The Complete Brake System was replaced including all Wheel Cylinders, Lines, Hoses and Master Cylinder. The Windshield, Rear Window and Window Glasses were replaced with new Tinted Glass. All Window Felts and Seal were replaced. The Cab Got Carpet and Bucket Seats. The Electrical System was replaced. Truck got Turn Signals and Emergency Flashers. All Lights, including the Dash Lights and Fog Lights, work. The Tank and Sending Unit were replaced so the Fuel Gauge works. The other gauges were also converted to work with the 12 Volt System. A Pioneer Super Tuner with CD Player was installed along with Speakers. Stereo only functions when Key is in the "ON" position. Engine has an Electric Fan that is on a relay and controlled by the driver. Truck has a matching set of Wide White Wall Tires on Stock Style Steel Wheels and Hub Caps. Truck has new Wood in the Bed, not factory style, but clean and solid. Truck got a few Rat Rod Style touches including the Hood Ornament and Hood Trim. The Stainless Trim on the Hood came off of a 1957 Pontiac. The Truck was left with that Patina Look that everyone is looking for. There are Dents, Dings and Rusty areas around the body. There are some patches, but mostly just left in it's original condition. Both Doors were replaced because the originals were rustier than I liked. I'm sure I have left out many details. I will be glad to answer any questions through email.
A lot of time and money went into building this pickup. I have some other projects going, so decided to let this one go. I have been driving it around, but it will probably need some final tweaking before considered a reliable daily driver. It has brakes and starts easily and runs well, but if you have ever built a car from scratch, you know the kind of things that come up that you can't foresee until putting some road miles on the vehicle. The truck is being offered with NO RESERVE. It sells to the highest bidder. I may be able to assist with delivery, for a fee, within a couple of hundred miles of Canton, Ohio. Please email for a deliver estimate.
