1972 Ford Pinto 2-Door

Description

This vehicle was purchased last week with the intention of being used as a car to drive around town, but unfortunately about 80 miles into the drive to get it home the engine became audibly louder and then quit. The car is currently in indoor storage in Scranton, PA and is NOT drivable. I am not a mechanic and have no idea what's wrong with it and I have no intention of sinking any more money into this, this car is being sold AS IS. The engine does turn over, but IF it does start it runs extremely roughly--and not for long. The pictures provided hopefully give an accurate understanding of the condition of the vehicle, body work is definitely needed.
This car will need to be towed away by the buyer from Scranton, PA, IT CANNOT BE DRIVEN AWAY.
I was told by the previous seller that I am the second owner.I was told by the previous seller that a new flywheel had been installedI was told by the previous seller that a new starter would be needed to avoid damaging the flywheel again.I was told by the previous seller that the car was stored in a garage for the last 20 years -- the interior has a musty smell to it that tells me this is accurate.The car has damage of the front end and rust along the lower body (see pictures), but the underside appears in decent shape to an untrained eye (see picture).
I am about 200 miles from the location of the vehicle. Prior to being stored I had possession of the car for about 4 hours so my ability to answer any questions is limited and due to my proximity to the car I am unable to show the car even if you are local, but am very flexible to make the trip to transfer possession.
