Description

Sweet 1941 2 door coupe. This “Intense Blue” car isALLSTEEL with the exception of the rear bolt on fenders. It is powered by an early (1965) 327 C.I. with the 462 double hump fuelie HP heads and a Holly 600 4 bbl. carb, backed by a Th350 and a 10 bolt rear. Now this car has a GM front clip holding that 327 with all of the modern components. It has power front disc brakes, power steering, heat (which many hot rods don’t have), new front shocks, recently replaced front end components, auxiliary cooling fan with original radiator, rear ladder bar and coil overs suspension. The interior is super comfortable and the dash was very nicely installed, fits like it was born there. It has a split bench reclining seatswith 6 way power driver’s seat, tilt wheel, heat, defrosters, nice black vinyl headliner and nice rear seat with center arm rests. All of the lights, blinkers, license plate light, dome light, dash lights and gauges work as they should. Wipers worked fine butas of todayare sorta working when they want to, bad ground I suspect. The stereo is hooked up but I removed the box speakers which sit on the back seat for pics, they will come with car. The trunk has a popper button under the dash which is working but the catch isn’t grabbing in the back anymore, needs adjustment (you can open trunk by hand but it’s heavy enough not to lift on its own) and the trunk hydraulic supports are weak and need replacing. The body is nice and straight with frenched tail lights with blue dots and the chrome is also very nice. The underside of the car is clean, no rust anywhere as well as the rest of the body, no rust. The mural on the trunk lid was beautifully air brushed showing the previous owners car collection (he has since passed). His name was Leo, hence “Leo’s Drive Thru”. This 41 is the second car from the left in the mural with its old paint scheme. Now there are a few minor chips (2)and some flaws on the hood. There are some spots on the hood where it looks like small pimples or sand in the paint. I know it’s not sand but trying to describe it. There is a pic of what I’m trying to describe. Re paint the hood and that would be taken care of but its not that bad. This car is a driver, runs cool, very comfortable, roomy and drives straight. If you’re looking for a cool hot rod that’s not a chore to drive, here she is.
