Description

1972 Mustang Coupe. I bought this car over a year agoas a father/son project. Interior wasn't terrible, but it definitely needed some TLC. Seattears, steering wheel cracks, headliner worn, etc. So we removed it all, but kept everything like seats, etc. Our plan was to install new carpet and have the seats reupholstered. The car was obviously restored years before as the floors appeared repaired and the car has obviously had a professional repaint which is still in good condition. Body isextremely straight and paint stilllooks good, although I would have probably addressed some rock chips, etc. The previous owner added a new battery, starter, some suspension parts (like upper control arm, etc). The drive train is solid with a 351 Cleveland / 4-V, 4 speed manual trans. Also has headers and flow masters...sounds great and starts on first turn of the key. Really nice bones and will a little attention to the interior and spot blending of paint, it likely could be proudly driven to any local show. Good luck bidding. I do have her for sale locally so reserve the right to end auction early.

On Nov-30-17 at 08:50:48 PST, seller added the following information:

I've received lots of questions, so thought it best to post some additional language to the ad.

- The car is NOT a base modelmustang. It's actually started life as a special editionSPRINT model. (As I understand it, Ford created the Sprint model in support of the 1972 Olympics.) It was a 351-2v. I assume the engine is the original 351, but have not confirmed.

- I added the Marti Report to the listing.

- I added the window sticker.

- The car also has a newer Holly 4 barrel carb....added a pic as I have that paperwork and warranty.

-Make no mistake, the car is a project. However,it runs and drives very well. Mechanically sound. Italso sounds amazing. Again, it is a project and not perfect. The interior is out. It has odds and ends that need to be addressed, but there is good with the car too. The lights, wipers, radio work. Gauges work. Windows roll up and down without issue. Windshield does show a crack. The driver seat is already bolted in place so I can move the car around, but the other interior is out of the car as mentioned above.

- The last picture (with my son in the car) is how the interior looks today. The picture of the interior shot all nicelytogether is how it looked when I bought the car last year. What that picture didn't show is the worn carpet, rips in the seats, etc. Hence, this is the reason we pulled out the interior to replace but we lost interest in doing so due to life. (However, we did buy some new things, eg., a new interior bolt package...I wanted it all to look new., a new passenger side piller molding which isFord OEM...previous one was cracked, etc.)

- I have everything that came with the interior. Still have the carpet, seats, door panels, etc. Yes, I will put it all back into the car for transport.

Hope that helps.
