1963 ½ Ford Galaxie 500All Aluminum 496, 4 Speed, 9”

This Galaxie started out in life as a 289 automatic.In early 2000, the third owner removed the drivetrain of a bone stock, 88K mile car.The car now has the following:

Carroll Shelby aluminum reproduction FE block.Bored 4.310

Carroll Shelby aluminum reproduction med riser heads.2.25 intake valve, 1.75 exhaust.

Moldex custom billet steel crank.4.25 stroke.BBC.Rod journals.Neutral balance

Eagle H beam forged steel rods.6.70.BBC.With HD ARP bolts.

Ross forged pistons.12:1 domed w/valve relief.

Melling high volume oil pump.

Comp Cams custom grind solid roller cam & lifters.Int lift .666.Exhaust lift .672Int duration 248.Exhaust duration 254.

Erson, billet aluminum roller rockers and stands.

Dove reproduction Ford tunnel wedge 2 X 4 barrel medium riser intake.

2X Quickfuel Technologies (Holley based) 750 cfm with choke horns milled off.

Air cleaner is reproduced from original mold, 1964 Galaxie high riser air bonnet – 8” duct.

Edelbrock high flow aluminum water pump.

Griffin heavy duty aluminum radiator.

MSD 6AL ignition box and billet distributor.

Powermaster hi-torque starter.

McLeod billet steel flywheel.

Tri-Y headers.3” exhaust with electronic cut-outs.

Ram 11” pressure plate, clutch disc Race Series.

Lakewood blow proof bell housing.

Heavy duty, big input/output, close ratio, top loader, 4 speed.

Late model 9” Ford housing narrowed 2”.Car was not cut. “N” case, Detroit locker with Mosier 31 spline, heavy duty axles.4:11 gears.

Front disc brakes.Rear drum brakes.

Southside Machine traction/lift bars.

All original interior.Bench seat.Some wear on seat and carpet.

Original 4 speed shifter.

Car was completely stripped to bare metal.Car is all steel except for a Crites fiberglass hood.The paint was done in 2006 and the color is Ford Light Saddle Metallic base coat/clear coat.(1996 – 1998)The car is NOT pink as it looks in pictures.This color change was done properly.This is a VERY nice, super straight car!Pictures do not do it justice!

The bumpers have been rechromed.

The car has set for a few years.The old fuel has been drained out and a new fuel pump installed.The car also has a new battery and fresh oil and filter change.
