1965 Mustang GT Fastback With Pony Interior, 59,485 Actual Miles
Description
Due to health reasons, I have decided to sell my unrestored 1965 Ford Mustang GT Fastback, with Pony Interior and only 59,485 actual miles.I have owned this car forover 20 years. The first owner was a lady who purchased it new and owned this pony for 33 years, until she passed away, and it's condition shows she treated it very good. I still have the new car original invoice from the Ford dealership. Data plate information: body 63B, color R, trim 68, date 21T, dso 53, axle I, trans 5. Since I have owned it, itcomes out of storage at least once a year, gets a little fresh fuel, gets moved, the engine gets run for a while, gets a wash job and then goes back into dry storage, I may have put 50 miles on it in the last 20 years. My intentions were to some day restore this car to new showroom condition, but things change. The car is ivy green with ivy gold and white pony interior. The interior is actually the best part of the car, it is original, and the seats and door panels are in excellent condition and I seriously doubt if anyone has every sat in the back seat. The headliner has one small hole behind the sun viser, the carpet is showing a little wear and could use a good cleaning, and the dash pad has some wrinkles up by the windshield. All of the body panels are original to the car, the body is straight, showing no evidence of ever being damaged. There is very minor rust starting low in both front fenders and low in the left rear quarter, and all of the rust on the car could be covered with a dollar bill. All of the glass is good. All of the drivetrain is original to the car, it is an "A" code289 cubic inch / 225 horse power 4 barrel, with aBorg Warner 4- speed transmission. The car comes withfactory styled steel wheels, and 4 near full tread tires that are 20 years old. This car is an excellent candidate for and deservesa ground up restoration, it is complete, all original, and just hoursaway from being checked outand made road worthy. How often does one like this come along, especially with low miles? I know that it has had some paint work done prior to me owning it, but not sure to whatextent. The belly of the car including floors, rails, torque boxes, and trunk drops are very solid. This car is a true survivor. It is not a show car, does not shine, but it is a nice car, well equipped, well cared forFastback that is 53 years old and has never been abused, or molested in any way. I have tried to describe this Mustang to the best of my ability but have probably missed something that you would like to know, if so just ask. Also if you or your representative would like to inspect the car on a liftprior tothe end of the auction again just ask and arrangements will be made. The car is located in Independence Mo. 64056 approximately 10 miles east of downtown Kansas City Mo.The new owner will be responsible for all transportation costs if needed. In it's present condition the car can be driven onto a trailer, but it does need brake work. This car is being sold "as is" "where is" with no warranty or guarantee. When payment in full has been made a good Missouri title and the car will be released to the new owner.
