Unlike a pickup truck, the Ranchero was adapted from a two-door station wagon platform that integrated the cab and cargo bed into the body. The 1959 model was built with the same 118 in (3,000 mm) wheelbase as all 1959 Fords, giving the Ranchero the advantage over its predecessors of a new, longer 7 ft (210 cm) bed. The windshield was also 25% larger.MechanicalYou are looking at a Very Sweet Ranchero. Was fully restored 10 years back, has a Sweet Running 292 with no issues, no smoke, and does not use Oil. Tranny works excellent. Clutch was changed last year. Has power disk breaks Stops on a dime and has No issues at a high speed. This Ranchero has never been in a accident. It's running 69' Boss GT Wheels with new tires, and is ready to GO!Exterior Body is very solid and straight. The bottom floor pans as you can see in pictures are excellent.. Comes with a Custom Snap on Bed Cover that is 100% Water Proof. No water gets in the Bed. All Body lines line up straight. Remember, this vehicle is from the 1960’s, and even though I’ve tried my best to describe it, it can have some imperfections which I’m not aware of.I’m saying this because I’ve had a bad experience with a ruthless dealer that tried to extort money from me after the car was inspected and delivered!
