Description

This sharp looking '65 Mustang Convertible is just waiting for summer. And for you. Beautiful blue paint, with a white roof is a perfect combination and is complimented by an upgraded engine and stereo for your driving pleasure.
A first year Mustang convertible is considered a desirable classic in anyone's book. This one has had a nice repaint in a medium Blue that really looks great with the white roof and a white GT accent stipe along the lower body line. The front of the car is kept simple with only the chrome bumper presenting a clean line just below the black grill which is adorned only with a badge of a running Pony on red white and blue stripes. The hood has been upgraded with a functional hood scoop to feed fresh air to the motor, and the front fenders have tasteful badges that let you know the engine has been upgraded a bit. Following the body line down the sides of the car leads your eyes to the Shelby style scoops in the rear fenders. That theme carries through to the back of the car with a Cobra gas cap between the classic Mustang tail lights, and the car sits on great looking Magnum 500 wheels.
A blue and white interior is the perfect complement to the blue paint on this car. The seats, both front and rear, have pleated white inserts surrounded by blue in the bottoms and backs. The door panels are all white, pleated to match, and look really sharp with the splashes of chrome from the door handles and window cranks. There was a convenient center console added with cup holders that is accessible to both front and rear seat passengers. Take control of this car with the three spoke wooden steering wheel with a Mustang horn button in the center, and drop it into gear with the T-handle floor shifter. The hooded dash pad helps keep the sun off the gauges when the roof is down, and a modern stereo/CD player that is iPod compatible was installed for your listening pleasure. Settle in, get comfortable, hit the button to drop the power operated roof, and head out for the open road.
Out on that road, the functional hood scoop feeds air to an upgraded 302 motor that looks right at home in the engine bay. The presentation is so neat and clean, that it looks like it could have come from the factory that way. A chrome air cleaner housing and chrome valve covers are a nice touch and are both embossed with the Ford Racing logo. A true dual exhaust system has two pipes that lead all the way to the twin tailpipes at the back of the car. Power steering, along with coil springs and control arms up front, leaf springs with a solid axle out back, and drums all around work together nicely with the power from that 302 and a 3-speed automatic transmission make this car a pleasure to drive. The rubber meets the road through 195/70R14 tires mounted on those great looking Magnum 500 wheels all around.
Pick a sunny day, bring your wool hat, drop the top and take a ride. Then take it home and park it in your garage.
