Black Plate, Rust Free, Never Seen Rain/ Snow, Actual Miles,
Description
December 21, 1967 my grandfather purchased my grandmothers dream car, a 1957 Ford Thunderbird convertible! They purchased it from Johnny Schreiber (owner of LR Schreiber, an auto dealer in San Jose, CA) with 81k miles. Owned as a leisure vehicle over the next 10 years, my grandparents enjoyed trips to Santa Cruz, Lake Tahoe, and Reno, NV until finally residing in Placerville CA where the T-Bird came to rest.
My grandfather would start it up in the garage or drive it to the local grocery store just maintain the battery and fresh fuel, but in late 2001 the t-bird started collecting dust in the garage. Over the years we discussed selling it, but it was too hard given the history and sentimental value. Now my grandparents would like to travel and enjoy retirement, so the time has come to sell this 50 year emotional investment; so I picked it up, drained the gas tank, blew out the lines, added fresh fuel and she fired right up! Runs and drives great!
The current documented milage is 89,756. I have the original pink slip and yes, it's pink! Documentation includes: Registration history, original purchase order, some old travel pictures, and some very very old maintenance receipts.
