Description

Hate to sell it, but it's been a year since I drove the truck more than around the block.
This is a real head turner with the extras and the sky blue paint. Don't miss out.
It does need some TLC and I want to be fully transparent about that. It may have mechanical defects which I am not aware of. It is a 40 year old truck.
This truck had a restoration and motor rebuild in the early 90's and has gone about 20,000 since then. It's a great truck. Ultra reliable. It sat for several months on my lot through sub zero temperatures and it fired up second turn.
I just drove the truck 30 miles to a new lot. No overheating or scary vibrations. It steered and shifted as it should. No stalling. No funny exhaust smells or coloration.
I noticed a couple backfires, the carb may need adjusting. It pulled to the left a little going 55 on the highway. Under braking, it pulled to the right. I added power steering fluid and I did hear some whining from the pump. The exhaust clangs around and always has. The oil pan was previously patched. The heater doesn't work and there is no radio. The ebrake does not work and never has since my purchase of the truck. The tailgate is difficult to open and close, it rubs just a little. There is a man-made hole in the bed for plumbing from when it had a camper in the back and there is a spot over the wheel which is starting get rusty and soft. The wooden bed was put down by the previous owner. I can't tell you what's underneath but the bed looks solid from under the truck.
This is a beautiful stake side truck that is going to fall into disrepair from lack of use. These trucks are trading higher and higher every auction. With a modest investment, you have a really valuable show-truck. The spotlights need new bulbs, but worked previously. Put your company name on the side and market your business with a CLASSIC.
There is a ding in the bed as well as the bumper. The small A shaped window on the driver's side is pretty rotted and there is an area at the corner of the windshield that needs attention. The tailgate rubs lightly opening and closing. I’ve made every effort to list this accurately, but the truck may have mechanical issues beyond my knowledge. Sold as is without warranty.
Overall, you're hard pressed to find something this solid in New England. The miles are original and accurate. Clear title in hand. Delivery is an option.
Located in Lowell, Ma. Message with your best number if you’d like to drive it. No reserve. The highest bidder gets the truck.
