Description

Alright, Here-goes: This old girl was purchased from a police auction in Mansfield Ohio ( The department where it spent it's life) in 2015. It was a Swat command operations vehicle. If you don't believe me, strip all the paint and primer after you buy it and have a gander at the vinyl wrap they had on it, it's still there underneath.. We bought it to use as a "mobile tool shed", but never really got around to making it PA Legal for the road. She needs rear brakes, a valve cover gasket, rear shocks, and the low-beam headlights fixed thanks to that on the floor headlight switch that ford used. (high-beams work). She still has lights and sirens, we got rid of the blue lights and changed everything to red to keep it legal. (don't want to be impersonating a cop).
She ran when she was parked in November, albeit very smoky ( Valve cover gasket leaking onto exhaust manifold). 6 brand new tires on her, less than 200 miles on them. it has sat on them though. (they all hold air and we have not added air since 2015).
We replaced the ford duraspark II Ignition module because it would kill spark when it got warm, changed the ignition coil, and removed the smog pump belt. I just finished with a transmission filter service last summer as I suspected having fluid sitting for two years probably wasn't good, so it's all fresh. Oil change was done mid-summer as well, has maybe 3 miles on it.
I'd say you can buy and drive home, but that would be irresponsible. She'll start on starting fluid, or the auxiliary pump in the pictures, but will not start on the in-tank pump. Fuel level sender does work.
I haven't run it since Christmas, and that was just to move it forward a few feet to get our trailer out. When purchased, we can start it and move it to the street for you to load onto your trailer, we're quite confident she'll start right up, always has.
Most of the junk in the back will be removed when you purchase it, we're using it as a shed at the moment.
IT does have a 100w solar panel, a golf-cart battery bank, charge controller, and power invert er as well. the inverter is hard wired into outlets around the chassis.
The awning does function, but is ripped and difficult to deploy. we haven't had it open since we purchased it.
title is a clean PA title in my name, in hand.
Dual starting batteries up front, both deep cycle, one is an optima.
Has A/C front and rear, but engine driven A/C does not function.
There was a small fire under the hood, hence the reason it was sold. We fixed all essential wiring at the time of purchase a few years ago and it's been fine since, i assume that's why the A/c doesnt work. It also had cruise control, but we disconnected the actuator when we switch carbs. The original carb will be included so you can see how bad it was...
Good luck, happy bidding. Hate to see her go but I want someone to put her on the road again.
We fit this on a dual-axle equipment hauler trailer, but it was tight between the wheel wells. She fit though.
