Description

With the way ebay changes I have to rewrite this that is in my condition description so check it out to in case I miss something here. This is a just fresh out of the barn 1947 Ford 1/2 ton shortbed pickup that was set up with this 1947 Highway Trailer Co. Eogerton Wis. service bed for the Bell Telephone Co.This is a one time chance for you to do what you want to this truck.Everything is so complete on this truck from body to interior and motor compartment. There are enough grill teeth to repalce the ones needed and still have plenty left. There is also a set of old correct hubcaps. The glass is all good with the exception of a crack in the corner of the right hand winshield. The wiring looks in great shape also.I have not tried starting the rig but the motor turns over fine and it was still full of oil and antifreeze. The previous owner told me that he started it 4 years ago off from a can and it ran great but the muffler was junk, and it is.He was the kind of person that I had no trouble taking his word. The spotlight on it is a baby spotlight that is a Fomoco Ford script that is rare in itself. There is rust in the floorboards and should be replaced but still solid enough to drive as is and some rust in cab corners.my name is Don 2083531972.It hasn't been titled since 1964 and the title has been signed of and that is what you will get along with a bill of sale. I did pull the spark plugs and put Mystery oil in them. The seats feel good in it still. This is one very neat and rare truck. I forgot to add that the flathead motor is sought after later Mercury 8CM 255 cid .It is a 24 bolt head not studs and produces more hp. It also has an original Holley Governor on it that should have kept it from being abused. Please if I don't answer please leave a message and I'll get back unless you are overseas.I have no way to call overseas

One other thing I forgot to add is that is that it has the rare Mercury EAC-9510 carb. I believe that is the 255 Special Police carb.
