Up for sale is this black plate California barn find 1962/63 era Ford F100 shortbed truck. This truck was purchased new at Kellogg Ford of Chowchilla and was a one family owned truck that was used by the family on their orchard. Truck is an original 292 V8 truck and was built at the San Jose, CA plant. This truck has spent it's entire life in the dry California climate and was last registered and driven in 1988. Truck appears to be mostly original paint with some touch ups and blends over the years. Some rust in the back corners of the bed, cab corners, and the footwell / step on the drivers side when you open the door. Drivers door has been opened to far at one point and the bottom of the fender unbolted so the door would open. Hood hinges and hood in the are of the hinges have some damage as the hood appears to have been forced open over the years when the hinges were frozen and stuck. Truck was sitting in the barn since at least 1988 and has just been washed up on the outside and had a good set of used tires installed so it would be a roller for easy transport. Engine turns freely and the shifter goes through gears as it should. I was told by the original family that they sort of remembered that it was parked when the starter quit working, but there is no way to verify this information. This is a goodlooking project for someone who is looking for something with that patina look. The truck is sold with a bill of sale only and is currently out of the CA DMV system. Original key is in the ignition switch. Please email with any questions you may have or with a phone number if you would like for me to give you a call.
