Description

Here is a '32 Ford Cabriolet that looks like it was born cruising the beach and was meant to go out and play. Betty Boop is soaking up the sun on the rear of the car, and there is a folding top that gives you the confidence to take it out without worrying about those afternoon thunder showers.
Removing the fenders but leaving the full engine cover provides a nice mix of minimalist look with the ability to run the flames all the way from the radiator shroud to the trunk. This car's sunny disposition starts with School Bus Yellow paint for the body, frame rails, drop axle, and calipers. Then the flames were applied and hand painted pin stripe designs were brushed onto the hood and trunk. Chrome headlights, shocks, and radius rods up front are balanced by the chrome of the rear bumper bar and Megs exhaust tips out back. Betty Boop sunning herself on the beach under a Sun who is wearing his own shades graces the back of the car just above those megaphone pipes. An easy up and down top that folds neatly behind the seat, looks dapper, and keeps you dry, when up, but drops down in a matter of seconds. The car has a nice stance, sitting nicely with a bit of rake to it with the steel wheels and polished Ford hub caps.
Open the door with the key fob popper and check out the flames pressed into door panels. Sweet. Power windows are a nice feature adding to your comfort in all kinds of weather. A three spoke steering wheel mounted on a tilt column looks great and has a Moon shifter knob just for fun. A backlit Dakota digital gauge cluster with custom striping around it provides the info you need during the day, but looks extra trick at night with its blue glow. Vintage Air controls for heating and A/C are under the dash below the cluster, and a JVC head unit with Audiovox speakers mounted next to the kick panels below the dash pump out the sound. Windshield wiper and headlight knobs are located below the dash on the driver's side. A good-sized trunk means that you can stuff this car full of coolers and lawn chairs and or even a grill and head out for adventure.
Open up the hood and you will find a nicely warmed-over Ford 289 V8. There is a flame etched air cleaner feeding filtered air to a Motorcraft 2-bbl carb that is mixing the fuel and air for the engine. Chrome Ford Motorsport valve covers along with a chrome alternator brighten up the engine compartment and look great. Taylor spark plugs and wires provide good spark and new belts and hoses assure reliability while cruising the boulevard. Long tube headers lead back to those megaphone exhaust pipes and the back of the car and sound great. The power this engine makes is sent on back through a C4 automatic transmission. Front disc brakes provide great stopping power whether you are running mountain roads, cruising the beach, or cruising home and the rubber meets the road through Goodyear tires.
A good looking and fun '32 with a roof and power windows so you don't have to care what the weather brings. What are you waiting for? Come on down, load this rod up, and head out for adventure.
