1961 Ford F100 Stepside Shortbed 1/2 ton Pickup VINTAGE "RAT ROD" Patina
Description
I'm listing this truck for my old neighbor. He's owned it since 1976 . Originally a USAF Truck from Davis-Monthan AFB here in Tucson, then sold to the Univ. of AZ. in the mid 60's. Originally "Air Force" blue...Primered red & painted white by Univ. of AZ. Since then the hot Az sun turned the paint into this great "RAT ROD" patina. The original 6 cyl.- manual 3 spd. trans was removed and replaced with a 1970 Chev. Caprice 350-4barrel motor & THM400 Automatic transmission-Floor shift B & M shifter. Has a few bangs & bruises but pretty much a rust free always Tucson AZ truck.
Ready for restoration or better yet perfect for a RAT ROD.
Runs & drives but needs work.
Don't see too many of these Shor, Narrow stepside trucks around.
He wants this truck gone...don't be afraid to make an offer!!
Update: 3-21-18
I told the owner I was going to make the truck look a little better ...so you can get an idea what a true "Rat Rod" look is ...I painted the rims re, rubber painted some wide whitewalls on her.
