Description

Selling at no reserve! VERY GOOD DRIVER, body restored about 10 years ago, still presentable, Deluxe model with roll down back window, rear spare, will come with five brand new tires and tubes(I will order and install prior to shipping). The engine is a total rebuild last summer with new clutch, over $7000.00 in machine work and new pistons, valve, guides bored, babbitted, mains, rods, seals, Et. I did all the labor myself, I have been a model A mechanic since the 1960's. Converted to a Ford F-100 steering box, makes the car steer like it has power steering, this is a great option, the box was completely rebuilt prior to installing. Benford high compression head, copper head gasket, FS electronic distributor. Alternator, leak-less water pump, converted to 12V for easy starting, lighting. Signal lights, the upholstery is in good condition. This is a driver not a show car. It has a bunch of rattles, like every Model A Ford has after driven many miles. It's the best running Model A Ford, I have ever owned and I have had many. Reason I'm selling I have way too many cars to maintain at my age, needing to cut down my collection. The paint is on a scale of 1 to 10 about a 6, it's a twenty footer. Most of the pin striping is worn off. The brakes were redone about 5000 miles ago, with Flathead Teds floaters. They work almost like hydraulic brakes. It runs cool under all conditions, has lots of power for pulling hills, you will find no need to down shift. I run the New York upstate hills in third gear all the time. The emergency brake don't hold back much, as they never did when new. It shifts like an old Ford, you need to double clutch. If your looking for a fun driver this is your car. PM me with any questions, I'll always get back to you. I will help, you ship anywhere with full clearing payment ahead of time, on your nickel !
