1971 Ford Torino 4Dr
Description
Don't you hate it when someone is trying to sell a 4 door, but the picture is just the front so you don't know it is a 4 door until you click the ad? I'm not going to do that to you. I know 4 doors are not the most desirable, but they are a great value if you want to get an classic car at a reasonable price or you just want it to use it for parts for your 2 door.

This is a survivor car. It does not look like it has ever been painted. The engine and transmission appear to be original. If you buy this with the intent to cut it up and use pieces for your coupe or Torino GT, this is the car for you. The chrome is in excellent condition. Bumpers look great except a few scratches. No pitting on the bumpers, outside door handles, or inside door handles. The radio works and the dash knobs look great. They still look shiny. Wheel well moldings look great. The drip rails on the taillight panel look great. There are a couple of rust spots, but overall it is pretty rust free.
Prior owner put in electrical heating cords to the block and coolant hoses. It is from eastern Washington where it gets cold in the winter. Prior owner also put in an electric fuel pump. I suspect he had a hopped up carburetor. When I got the car, it had no carburetor, so I installed an original rebuilt ford two barrel and got it running and cleaned it up. Always starts on the first try. Exhaust and muffler is OK, but tailpipe has some holes in it. It has standard drum brakes on all four wheels.
This car has not been registered since 2013. It is not registered now, but it runs and drives and could be a driver with a little work. Tires are almost new.
I have been under the car and I don't see any rust at all. Engine and transmission is pretty grimy underneath, but there are no leaks from either one
Car is sold as is where is with no warranty expressed or implied. It is available for inspection by appointment only. I have done my best to describe it accurately but please understand that this is a 45 year old car that is not new and has not been restored. I tried very hard to describe it accurately and to make sure potential buyers have any information I would want as a buyer. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I have it for sale on my local craigslist. Full payment must be made within 5 days of auction end and vehicle must be picked up within 21 days of auction end unless prior arrangements are made. Payment by cash or wire transfer only. Shipping is the responsibilityof the buyer but I will help however I can.
