The person that I bought this car from had owned it for approx 10-11 years. He worked on the car for the first 2 to 3 years and then because of work and family didn't go any further. He put a new convertible top on the car and did rework the engine. The following is what he did to the engine. It is a big block 390 FE bored .30 over. It had 91k miles on original engine before rebuild started. It has NEW HYPEREUTECTIC PISTONS AND RINGS--CRANKSHAFT BEARINGS--OIL PUMP--FUEL PUMP--WATER PUMP AND TIMING CHAIN--ALL ENGINE GASKETS REPLACED--VALVE SEALS--HYDRAULIC LIFTERS--NEW SLIGHTLY MORE AGGRESSIVE CAMSHAFT--EDELBROCK "PERFORMER" INTAKE MANIFOLD--FPA HEADERS--EXHAUST THROUGH TWO SUMMIT WELDED MUFFLERS--ACCEL ELECTRONIC POINTS SYSTEM AND DISTRIBUTOR--COIL--STARTER SOLENOID AND BATTERY CABLES--RE-CORED RADIATOR--RE-CHROMED BUMPERS--ACCEL PLUG WIRES AND SPARK PLUGS--750 CFM EDELBROCK 4 BRRL CARB AND AIR CLEANER--NEW HOOD INSULATION AND RUBBER SEALS--SHOCK ABSORBERS--NEW 18 INCH AMERICAN RACING WHEELS AND TIRES--NEW DOOR RUBBER SEALS--The car now has 92k miles and runs very good. After the new top was installed it was put down and stayed there for the next 9 years. It is still like new and cleaned up very well. We have recovered the seats (front & back) and replaced the floor carpet. The trunk has been cleaned and painted. This was a frame on restoration, so the bottom side isnt perfect, but the price doesn't indicate so either. The car was repainted approx 12 years ago the original color. We took the car to a professional detail shop and they did a super job. I was really amazed how nice the car looked. The A/C works very good and also the same for the power steering and power brakes.
