Description

Original Henry Ford steel body that when in stock form, ran the Great Race (4600 miles). Built in the style of a 60's era hot rod with a small bock 350, triple Stromberg 97's, 200R transmission,49 Lincoln power drum brakes and 3.73 rear 3rd member (ford 9") strange axles.
Mild 1.75" chop, tank moved to the trunk. Most parts and sheet metal work was done custom in house.
This is a gentleman's hot rod that has won multiple Good Guys Builder's Choice Awards and won 1st place in Class at the 2017 Grand National Roadster Show. This vehicle was also the featured car published in Rodder's Journal #76.
A few other features:-36 style drip rails-flush fit doors-custom made headers, hairpins, headlights, shock mounts and headlight tags
-one of a kind steering wheel and shift knob-high quality leather interior and trunk space
There is a lot of money and labor (and love) in this build. Bill Collings passed away about 11 months ago and this was the only car he finished. Not only is this car one of a kind, there are many parts of it Mr. Collings personally built or formed himself. Check out the guitars he has made over the last 40 years and you can see he has an eye for perfection and no patience for good enough.
If you are in the market for an early ford hot rod you can not go wrong with having this one in your stable.
I have a link I can send to interested buyers about the build (over 500 photos).
The car is also listed on the Dupont registry and on the H.A.M.B. website.
Contact me with any questions and I will respond as soon as possible.
Will help with shipping on my end. Buyer is responsible of cost, but I will meet the shipper and document the transaction.
Thank you.
