1978 Ford C8000 Ford COE Fire Truck. V636 Caterpillar V8 diesel with an Allison automatic transmission. Truck was recently decommissioned and driven from Roundup, MT to Denver, CO. The truck runs and drives excellent, no rust anywhere, no leaks. Transwest trucks recently serviced the truck fully and performed the diesel emissions test - it passed without any problems. The tool boxes and apparatus are in excellent condition, this truck also has the power tilt cab which is a must with this sized cab. We had made a open car hauler out of one of these previously several years ago and it worked great, we were offered a really good price for it so we sold it - kind of missed it so we picked this truck up to do it again but realistically we just don't have the time. It is currently licensed and insured, we run it in parades occasionally and take it to car shows. It is easy and quite a bit of fun to drive, not bad to maintain either.
