Description

I purchased this truck two years ago thinking it just needed a transmission rebuild. Once transmission was done I discovered the engine had two bad cylinders. So the major overhaul began. I had the engine rebuilt to a 390 with a slight cam improvement. The ignition was converted to electronic and I completely replaced the fuel system, cooling system and exhaust with new components. The brakes were redone with all new wheel cylinders, drums, shoes and brake lines. The interior is completely new with fresh bench painted dash and new instrument panel. I moved the fuel tank out of the cab to under the bed but left the filler hose and gas cap for stock look in the side of the cab. The cab has been newly carpeted and a nice stereo upgrade. The bed of the truck was rhino lined. This truck has zero rust. The hood, roof and bed had surface rust which was sanded to the bare metal and sealed with rust prevention sealer and then primed. The bed was sanded, sealed and then rhino lined. The inside of the cab was stripped, sanded and sealed before being painted as well. The engine compartment was cleaned and painted as well as the underside of the hood. The entire underside was also cleaned and sealed and then undercoated. I have spent many hours and weekends on this truck and it is beautiful. The paint color is an original color from 1966 and the wheels are the stock steel wheels painted red with brand new tires and then the beauty rings and center caps added. This is a turn key truck that is a joy to drive and gets a lot of thumbs up. I have a photo album with over 200 photos that will come with the truck which documents the entire build from the tow truck pick up at purchase to the final images you see today.
Don't bid if you are not buying. I am happy to work with you to get it picked up if you need shipping. If you want to come see it and drive it you are welcome to do so prior to end of auction, once auction has ended if you are winning bidder you own it.
The truck is listed locally for sale as well and if I sell it locally before the auction ends I reserve the right to cancel the transaction unless it hits the reserve then highest bidder wins.
