When this Ford's builder set out to create his ultimate hot rod, he didn't want a fiberglass car; and he certainly didn't want a Phaeton or Convertible. So, he searched for almost two years before locating a rust-free member of the 3,862 1936 Roadsters Ford produced - then traveled all the way to Canada to pick it up. The first order of business with any hot rod is power, and few engines make power like the mighty Hemi! A 1956... 354 block that's capped with 1954 heads, the car's fully rebuilt elephant motor includes a .030 overbore, a Schneider Racing cam and Egge 9.5 to 1 pistons. Ford's factory frame was boxed, smoothed and carefully modified to accommodate that mill. Naturally, the floor was cut and carefully refashioned around a proven Chrysler A727 TorqueFlite, which twists a proven Currie 9-inch. At the front of the car, a Kugel Komponents Phase II independent suspension features billet QA-1 coil-over-shocks. At the back of the car, a custom 4-link set-up hangs a second set of billet QA-1s under a '70 Ford Torino sway bar. Turns come courtesy of power rack-and-pinion steering. Stops are provided by 10-inch Wilwood discs and power-assisted SSBC calipers. And everything rolls on metallic Wheel Vintiques Gennies, which spin wide Toyo whitewalls. Between the doors, a custom Tawny Taupe interior is exactly what you'd expect: only the best. Supplied by Garrett Leather, the car's cushy Glide bench and fun Rumble Seat mix first-rate comfort with first-rate style. In front of those seats, a custom Bird's Eye Maple dash hangs United Speedometer telemetry next to modern Pioneer audio. And the driver commands a custom Banjo Steering Wheel. This incredible '36 Ford is a timeless yet effortlessly classic hot rod that represents passion, quality and creativity at its very best! Call, click or visit for more information.
