Description

FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION we have for sale a 1955 Ford Crown Victoria at a good price. The paint is now a dark green with lots of metallic, the interior is new, the wiring harness new, the wheels American Racing and new, new wide white wall tires, Y block engine, rebuilt automatic transmission, side stainless and window stainless nice, bumpers need re chromed, good glass, needs door rubber, front frame cross member good. WHAT IS THE HISTORY? A man in Ohio gave...up on finishing the car to 100% after spending a lot of money. HOW IS THE PAINT? Driver quality, looks good in pictures and for normal fun driving, but if you look with a critical eye you can find some flaws. The shine is good, no dents or dings, some touched up chips, could have been prepared a little better near chrome. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? New interior upholstery, carpet new, dash panel wrapped and nice, door panels new, headliner new "its does have some wrinkles". NEW WIRING HARNESS with modern fuses. HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK! TURN SIGNALS WORK! BRAKE LIGHTS WORK! HORN NOT WORKING! NEEDS WIPER ARMS! NO HEATER, PAST OWNER WAS GOING TO PUT AC ON! SPEEDOMETER IS NOT WORKING! GAS GAUGE NEEDS A SENDING UNIT IN THE TANK! NEW AMERICAN RACING WHEELS! NEW WIDE WHITE WALL TIRES! HOW IS THE ENGINE? Its a Y block V8, its probably a 292 cubic inch, but it could be a 312 or 272, they look the same. It does run fine, it is a 2 barrel carburetor, its clean and I hear no knocks or rattles. The exhaust is dual with small glass pac mufflers, it has turn downs behind the mufflers and is on the loud side. HOW IS THE GLASS? Decent glass, no cracks, not milky, the windshield is clear and nice. HOW IS THE CHROME? Stainless around the windows and on the top is nice, stainless on the sides is good, bumpers look bad and need rechromed. Door handles shine good, but have pits, trunk bezel is pitted. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its suppose to be just rebuilt, it does look clean and shifts decent. WARNING!!!! This is not a perfect car, a perfect 55 Crown Victoria would be at least double this price. It does have a very good look, the dark green metallic paint, the American Racing wheels with wide white wall tires look great, the car has been lowered and it does look good that way. The bumpers need chromed, some rubber needs installed, the pictures make it look like a more than perfect car, it is good looking, but not a perfect show queen. It is well worth the ashing price, if your no picky, you will like it. If you are picky and looking for that Show Queen for a bargain price you will not be happy. Please come look and make sure you like this car good enough to buy.
