The Poor Man's B... Ford Flathead Original Hot Rod California History 1932 SCTA
Description
Selling a 1930 Ford Deluxe Sport Coupe with a great 2 inch Chop. A 1970 Rod and Custom Magazine Cover Car... the prior owners were Mark Morton (Luminary) of Hop Up Magazine and Joe McClelland (Joe Mac) from Ford Parts Obsolete in California. The history was written up in both magazines. I purchased from Mark in 2010 and did a sympathetic restoration .... leaving the car as original as possible and just touching up the 50+ year old lacquer paint; mechanics, carpets, exhaust, complete rewire, etc.. What a great car with real patina! Late Ford Truck Flathead with Thickstun Intake, Dual Strombergs topped with Stellings and Hellings Air Cleaners, mated to a 39 Transmission; Lincoln Brakes, Pines Accessory Hood Sides, Deuce (Peaked) Grille Shell and Insert, capped with 1932 Bumpers and Irons, Dropped Headlight Bar and Accessory Headlights. The mileage could be right, but I cannot substantiate....there are 50 year old plus newspapers stuffed in the doors and trunk lid! 16 inch 40 Spoke Kelsey Hayes Wire Wheels shod with Firestone 7.50 and 6.00 black wall tires, laid back spare with matching cover and locking cap. Headers and dual exhaust with Porter Mufflers. Original Auburn Panel and Gauges complete with column drop, '37 Banjo Steering Wheel, Original Vinyl Interior, Wool Headliner and Carpets. I did tell Mark that I would split anything with him over $50k.... if I ever sold the Coupe!Any questions, ask for Bob at 612 889 2212.
