Description
This 1930 Ford 5 window coupe is a genuine late 40's built Hot Rod that has been stashed away for decades. Built right after WW2 by twin brothers Frank and Fred using the family Model A Coupe as the basis, the car has all the period correct early Hot Rod upgrades such as a flathead V8 engine, 39 Ford Trans, "Juice" brakes, 16" Mercury wheels with caps and trim rings, 32 Ford grille and radiator, B.L.C. headlights, 39 Ford teardrop taillights, dropped steering column, V8 logo shift knob, Harley Davidson horn, and even remnants of an original Riverside speed shop water slide decal in the window. Last on the road in the 1960's, it has baked in the Southern California sun to a droolingly perfect patina. Period photos of the car taken in the 1950's with the twin brothers are the icing on the cake. This car is the absolute genuine article.
Not running, engine is stuck, tires are brand new period correct Firestones. The original matching front fenders are included in the sale.
A miraculous find in todays world, completely untouched and pure. A full gallery of photos and the whole story of the history of the car and its discovery are available. Please message me for a link.
On Aug-08-18 at 15:26:32 PDT, seller added the following information:My apologies for the low resolution photos (and the one that is upside down). I have much better photos available but ebay will not allow me to change them out. I am happy to send them to any interested party. The pics in the ad do not do the car justice! Send a message through ebay and I will be happy to send them to you.
You can visit the gallery page I set up at http://www.oldbug.com/twinrod.htm for more details on the car. There is no "buy it now" price, I want to let the bids here on ebay set the price.
Thank you so much for the interest, it appears this one is going quite viral online. Anxious to see where she ends up!
