1950 Ford Country Squire "Woody"
Description
We are selling our 1950 Ford Country Squire “woody” which we purchased thirteen years ago primarily as a business mascot. An older restoration was done sometime in the nineties in Southern California. The Woody is in beautiful driving condition and has been kept in a cool dry garage during our ownership. We have maintained it well with full documentation, and have made a number of sympathetic upgrades to make it an enjoyable, safe, usable vintage vehicle. Still featuring the flathead, 239-cubic inch V8, the Woody has been equipped with aftermarket Offenhauser heads, air conditioning by Vintage Air, remote power door locks, aftermarket brake booster to assist the stock 10” drums and seat belts for eight. The flathead’s power is delivered through a stock 3-speed column-mounted shifter, live rear axle, 15” Ford wheels and hubcaps, and retro 6.70-15 whitewall tires. Wood is noted to be in good condition with some photo-documented aging, in the form of minor cracking and a missing chrome plug. The wood has not deteriorated during our ownership and is visibly in the same condition as purchased. Paint is in good condition as well, with expected scattered minor chips with no visible rust or rust bubbles. The roof has one notable dent, just rear of the passenger door, approximately 3” in length that is hard to see as documented in the pictures. There is no resulting paint damage. Chrome is in mostly good condition, with the driver-side front grille having some hazing and discoloration as seen in the pictures. The underside of the vehicle shows only some surface rust from usage. The interior is good condition as can be seen in the pictures. The odometer reads 3,350 miles (total mileage unknown) having been driven approximately 1,000 miles in the last thirteen years of ownership. The vehicle starts immediately and is ready to be driven. Available with purchase is an array of invoices associated with maintenance and parts, as well as title transfers, registrations, and safety checks of the last 13 years.
