I took this 72 Ford LTD in on trade from a grandson who inherited this car from his grandpa. He told me that his grandpa originally bought this new. This is one well kept ford LTD. It was always garaged when not used and has been in the local town here where I am located all its life. It even still has the Quandil Martin Ford Waukon dealer sticker on the rear bumper from when it was purchased new. The car has the original owners manual. Mechanically, the car runs very nice. the 400 v8 runs great with no smoke or knocks and it does not appear to leak anyting under it. It has a lot of power and rides very smooth. you may want to update it with a tune up etc as it has not been done most likely for a while. I had it cruising up to 65 mph and it really had a nice ride. The trans shifted the way it should. The car has factory a/c and the compressor is free but probally needs freeon as it blew luke warm. The radio is working and it has the original audiovox tuner that works. All of the guages etc look to be working, the dash clock i couldnt make work. The interior of this car looks very well kept. I didnt see any major issues at all, make sure to check out the video as I really went through the car to show how much of a original survivor it is. The cosmetics on the outside looks great. I pictured any cosmetic blemish I saw (small bubble on rocker, minor colorization along lower front rocker, small ding in lower rear valance under rear bumper, small ding on front right corner fender) nothing crazy or overly noticable at all. The paint looks mostly original execpt for one spot on the front driver fender that the grandson told me grandpa had fixed around 10 years ago as he pulled out of the garage to tight and caught the edge. the underside of the car looks good. This is definitely a car that has a great history and look and would be perfect for a entry level affordable collectible that you would be proud to show off in your local car club and reliable enough to drive on long tours. I do not want to overcall it or undercall it as it is a 44 year old classic survivor, let the pictures video and description tell the story. As everybody has their own opinion on what a classic car should be, I recommend coming to inspect it yourself or hire ebay to do a indespendant inspection for you. Dont be afraid to make a offer. it is listed as a galaxy in error as that is what came up when we entered it, it is a LTD.I can recommend shippers I have used before who have been very reasonable in the past.If you have any questions at all, call 563 568 1182, 563 568 5111. thanks!
