1930 Ford model A hot rod street rod rat rod
Description
RESERVE LOWERED!! BUY IT NOW LOWERED!!
This is surely my loss and your gain. A real deal street rod with serious attitude and stance! It's twisted steel and sex appeal at its finest! All stuff! No fluff! Pennsylvania Street Rod title in hand.Body: 1930 Ford Model A original steel body. The body is solid with some awesome surface patina. There is no rust-through anywhere. It's primer black with green metal flake scallops. The deck lid, cowl, and bat-wing air cleaner were all pinstriped by Skratch. The doors are tack welded shut (hop-in, hop-out). The hinges are no longer there. If you're adventurous enough, they could be made to open again.Gauges: The gauges are Bonspeed "Roulette" series gauges (Speedo/Tach/Oil/Gas/Volt/Temp). They are super cool. For peace of mind, I disconnected the oil and temp gauge (it's like reading cartoon numbers) and installed a much more precise Oil and Temp gauge that is off to the side. Seats: The 'backs' are secured in place to the body. The 'butts' are not secured. I never secured them because it allowed me to adjust my position and that of the passenger.Drivetrain: 350 chevy turbo 350 tranny, 10 bolt Chevy rear end.Engine: 1955 Cadillac 331 rebuilt and refreshed.Trunk: I created a wooden/removable trunk area that allows you to store some stuff in there...but then remove it to access the rear end. The floor of the car is wooden also.Security: The steering wheel is removable for anti-theft.Cover: I made a custom fitted vinyl cover for the car if it ever has to be parked outside/overnight. It's come in handy many times!Frame: Frame is boxed and z'd and solid.
I'm about 6'2" and when I drive, I can fully extend my left leg. My right leg is bent a little to use the gas.Suspension: front polished stainless four bar kit from Speedway, rear four bar kit and pan hard bar with Jag coil overs, Vega steering box.Things worth noting: The tranny leaks a little bit...but I don't know why. The dipstick is one of those horrible 'cable' ones that never gives an accurate reading. I don't know if I have overfilled the thing...or if there is a seal leaking somwhere. I just watch it...and it's always been good. The neutral safety switch has never been installed (it will start in any gear).I have put about 11,000 miles on it since owning it for a little over 14 years.Shipping: I am willing to assist with shipping (as in giving you good places to tell your shipper to meet (Home Depot parking lot) and help with getting it on. The coordination of that shipper is up to you.
I have the car advertised locally and reserve the right to end this auction early.
Here are two videos of me driving it. One is around a local steel mill. The other is of me driving it to the Pittsburgh World of Wheels in January.

They plug into the battery and are switch operated. They are perfect for those late fall cruises with your special somebody. It's like driving inside a warm hug.
