Description

Nicely finished, subtly upgraded, and extra V8 power make this 1951 Ford F-1 is an all-around ideal cruiser, and it's offered for a terrific price. The Ford F-1 is arguably the best-looking post-war truck. While they all have a basic industrial attractiveness, this one goes for the heart of the truck lover. The red paint has the bright glow of nostalgia (really it's just the modern clearcoat.) And the Pop's Garage Texaco logo on each door is the... kind of custom vintage touch we all love. But come in closer to inspect all the details. There you'll fall in love with the straight body panels, proper hood brightwork (with Ford V8 logo), Ford logo side steps, and a full blue pinstripe on everything from the cab to the tailgate. And the real wood in the truck bed looks great, but it's also not afraid to do a little work. In fact, this one has been upgraded further for that attitude. That's why you have a trailer hitch with electric hookup, and the 15-inch American Racing wheels allow for modern tires with better grip. Inside is a cab built for long-lasting function. There's plenty of dashboard space, and an airy cab thanks to an uncluttered feel. The thin and grippy steering wheel feels terrific in your hands, and the tall gearstick completes this time machine-like atmosphere. Despite this utilitarian feel, there have been a couple of nice upgrades. The bench seat has been recovered recently, there's plenty of carpeting, and there's a full set of classic-style Omega Kustom Instrument gauges. So you get the perfect mix of vintage ambiance with plenty of real usability. Under the hood is Ford's 260 cubic-inch V8. This upgrade to small block power means good parts availably and a robust powerplant. Topped with a four-barrel carburetor, this makes the right kind of power to fit in with this truck's user-friendly attitude. Plus, you get the right control over this full package thanks to the three-speed manual transmission. This is a truck that looks great and cruises with old-school ease. It's a Ford pickup that attracts a lot of attention, but the enthusiast who will enjoy it most is the one sitting behind the wheel. Call today!!!
