1967 ford f100 1 owner original V8 4 speed
Description
This is an original California black plate 1 owner truck which was built in San Jose CA and lived it's whole life 2 1/2 hours north of there. This truck was his baby. I have only washed the exterior, wiped down the interior, changed the rubber fuel lines and tune up parts. I don't know the real mileage.
I purchased this from the original owners daughter with the intention of using it as a farm truck to haul stuff. I don't have the heart to abuse it due to the originality. It still has factory markings on the firewall and gas tank behind the seat. This is a great truck to restore, the body is really straight with some surface rust and 1 cheap repaint, the interior is original and amazing and the engine is mostly untouched. The engine is 352 FE with a 4 speed. 4 speed is the T 18 Warner syncro and the rear end is 3.54 ratio locking Dana 60. No power steering or brakes. It still has the original oil bath air cleaner and smog equipment. The issues are the exhaust manifolds leak and the daughters boyfriend broke 1 of the studs. These manifolds can be difficult to remove. It needs a new clutch and the brakes are weak. My plan was to remove the engine, pull the heads have a valve job done and put in hardened seats then take care of the exhaust leak. Everything would get cleaned up, replace the clutch and fix the brakes all while the engine is out. I'm including a clutch and pressure plate and 2 extra exhaust manifolds in case something goes wrong. The body has maybe 5 dings, you have to look pretty hard and the rear bumper was hit or he backed into something. The hood is probably in the worst shape with surface rust. The under carriage is really nice as are the wheel wells, rockers and door bottoms. None of this has been treated or touched up, this is how it came to me. The weather stripping needs to be replaced, I'm including some but I think it's not correct, windshield piece has a groove for a trim piece which this truck doesn't have. There are holes in the bed because he pulled a 5th wheel briefly, mom didn't like it according the daughter. He also added helper springs for the 5th wheel. There are also dual factory gas tanks and what looks like Ford factory mirrors? The interior speaks for itself, beautiful perfect patina. Medium green and white no tears in the seat, 1 crack in the dash, which may have pissed him off because he made a cardboard dash cover which is still there, he was ahead of his time. The original radio is there, hazard flashers in the glove box, dual fuel tank switch and a handle control for the hood release. Coat hook is still up in the corner of the passengers side headliner. The floor mat is great, no rips just needs to be cleaned. For someone looking to restore one of these trucks this is a great example. It would be a survivor if not for the repaint.I would be happy to answer any questions or provide more pics if I haven't covered something. I'm not a ford expert so let me know.
