1973 Ford F-100 390 TRAILER HAULER
Description
This pickup was purchased new by my parents from the Ontario, Oregon Ford dealer. It was primarily used for 20 years to tow a 28 foot travel trailer all over the western US, in pursuit of their rock-hounding hobby. It was only used occasionally from about 1997 until 2015. It now has 190,872 miles on the truck. The original 360 engine was upgraded to a Ford factory re-manufactured 390 engine 49,047 miles ago at the Ontario Ford dealership, and the engine uses no oil. Rear tires have 3,307 miles on them, and the fronts 321 miles, with an alignment 44 miles ago. This data can be verified with supplier invoices. It has never been in an accident of any kind.
Current restoration includes sanding out, spot priming and re-painting the exterior the original "Wimbledon White" color, including wheels with original hubcaps. The bed has been coated with black spray-on bed coating material. The cab interior sports new seat covers and floor mats. It does not have air conditioning.
