1929 Model A Hearse
Description
For sale is just that... a 1929 Model A Hearse
Originally a 4 door Murray body, was cut in half in 2015, extra frame/doors, suburban top installed.
When I received this vehicle, it had NO brakes, NO steering, NO drive line, NO running engine(had a 4.3 in it JUST FOR MOCK-UP), nothing.
I then called on a few friends of mine who deal in the 20-s and 30's vintage.
We yanked the engine/trans and installed a 502 with a turbo 400 trans. Updated the 2:90 gears in the 9" diff to 3:55's and a positraction. Also made an adjustable 4 link with adjustable pan hard bar.
Installed a steering column and made the steering components work from a 1994 Astro with Hydro-boost. I then made a working serpentine belt system utilizing the hydro-boost for power steering and power brakes. Works great.
Vehicle has new tires/brakes, engine, trans, rear diff gears/posi. The engine has over $16K in it. New pistons, rods, valves/springs/full roller cam/lifters (crower) and much more. Originally built for speed so all of the original stuff was replaced with new goodies.
Brand new custom made headers and 3" dual exhaust by GBE Mandrel Bending in Clackamas.
Original seat is in place, but interior and exterior need finished. A great clean slate to make it the way you want to.
I am selling because I was diagnosed with Leukemia back in April and my wife says it's time to sell. Been sitting in storage lot in a trailer for a year now.
Was used to bring "Marnie" from Halloweentown to the big pumpkin in St. Helen's Oregon 2015
Licensed and insured in Oregon. Valid plates with clean/clear title.
