Description

You are bidding on a super nice 1986 F-250 Ford XL 3/4 tonpickup with a long box. It is a rust-free Northern California truck with a 302 v-8, automatic transmission that runs and drives very well with no issues going down the road. It is a tight truck with no rattles, squeaks, or squeals. But it does have Curb Appeal!

The truck has nice window seals and weatherstrips so the glass is tight and sealed like new! the door locks work well as do the handles and latches. The heater works well and the air conditioning blows cold. Power steering works great and the transmission shifts properly. aftermarket stereo is not working at this time but might not be plugged in? we'll look into that yet. The interior is nice and comfortable, I did a new headlinnerand a nice dash cover from LMC. you can see how SOLID the cab floor is in the picture without carpet, and I put in a nice used carpet from a newer truck i died it blue and it looks alright. the dash is nice a little fadded & dirty but the plastic is all good shape. steering wheel and column is all in great condition and the ignition switch works well and the truck starts good. it has daul tanks the seem to be working properly.

The truck was all one color when I got it and it was a little beat up and dirty, as shown in the photos but still very good for it'sage. We are an auto body shop, so we had the young guys work out the dings and dents then properly prepped and painted it as you see. The blue color is close to the original color and we sprayed Wimbledon White on the insert, then blue accent stripe similar to the factory style. We did not prep or paint the door jambs, they are still original and did not touch inside the box we were not looking to build a show truck, just a fresh good looking useable truck that would be cool on a Horse ranch, construction site, or in your driveway?? The upper box rails are a bit dented up so we added stainless caps to cover and they look nice! I did rob a better hood from my other truck but we did not spend time on the bottom side of it so it is a dark blue and a bit dirty. We added the body side moldings from another truck and they were pretty good shape!but we did not drill any holes and instead attached them with double back tape in case someone would rather not have them on. All the clips are in a box, and the tape holding them on is very good quality.

The glass and windshield are all in good condition. The undercarriage is all good solid and straight as the truck has never been in a wreck, even the radiator support is super clean. Everything seems to work properly. The a/c compressor makes a little noise, the left exhaust manifold has a small hairline crack but no noise. The heater core may have a slight leak? The brakes seem to be in good working order and the tires are alright, but the new owner may want to replace. I also have a brand new set of the Dodge dog dish caps you see on the left rear wheel if the reserve is meet you will get the full set if you want them? I might have more of the Ford caps I'll through in as well. The spare tire is good and there is the bottle jack underthe hood, I do have the original blue vinyl seat that is ok shape, the gray cloth one I put in is from like a 94 and it sets nice might just need a small panel put in as seen in the picture which we can do before delivery if interested.

Well that pretty much describes this great classic truck, and it is available for inspection anytime at our shop in Lincoln, Nebraska, we are also just minutes away from the Lincoln airport so fly in and drive it home!
