Up for auction is a Cool 1950 Ford 2 door sedan with Custom body work. Three owner car,showing only 74,115 original miles and nicely done with a 50's hot Rod theme. The body is very straight with no rust or body damage ever and has Frenched headlights, taillights, Antenna, front turn lights and rounded hood corners. The hood, doors and trunk lid have been shaved.A 1949 Mercury grill opening was weldedin to add to a smoother look. Paint is Emerald green in Base coat / clear coat with hand painted pinstripes and new rubber seals. The car has been lowered 2 inches for a cooler look.It has fender skirts, sun visor, twin swan mirrors, Spot lights (not real), re chromed bumpers, all stainless was polished, and blue dot tail lights are at the rear.The engine is a rebuilt 8BA Flathead with Offenhauser fined aluminum heads, Offenhauser dual carb intake manifold, two (new) Stromberg 97 carbs, Mallory dual point distributor, Mallory hi-output coil, Headers, Chrome& Stainless dress-up kit, re-cored radiator, rebuilt 3 speed transmission with overdrive, new brakes, new master cylinder, new dual exhaust, Dual 24" "Smithy" mufflers, rebuilt stock rear end and new gas tank. ( most everything has been redone) The interior seats were reupholstered in black with green piping. It has New carpet, new headliner, new doorpanels,and new wind lace. (All new interior)Also new dashboard switches, new gages, new radio, new clock, heater has been rebuilt, new foot pedals and new interior paint add to the good look. The family has asked me to list their fathers cool car for sale. I have driven the car and the engine runs very nicely.(one of the best running FlatheadsI have driven)The transmission shifts good but the clutch is jerky at first. (the car has been sitting, need to be driven) All glass is good and the windows roll up and down easily. The paint is showing some small chips and there is a crack in the middle of the hood about 5' long. The trunk lid also has a very small crack.
