This is a local car, completely and professionally restored, including the entire drivetrain restoration. (Completed in 2015) … The car comes with a folder full of restoration receipts.

The words “completely restored” seem to have different meanings depending on who is talking. In a nutshell, the following is what I mean in the case of this Mustang…

The car was taken apart including removing all interior and removing all drivetrain (engine, transmission, and rear end). The body was then transported to the best metal work and body man that I know of. He completed the disassemble by removing the doors, hood, trunk, and fenders. The stripped-down body was then put on a rotisserie whereas all paint and /or materials were removed until the only thing left was bare metal. At this point any body and metal work was done. There is no bondo or body filler…Only steel. Once all the metal work was complete, the car was then prepped and primed for paint with the underside being painted with Southern Polyurethanes red oxide epoxy. At this point the car was transported once again to the paint shop for paint. The Mustang was painted by a local Cadillac painter who is well known for the quality of his work. The paint is a base/clear. To give you an idea of the quality of this paintwork… the car is as slick as glass and the body is straight down the sides as a gun barrel…and the car has NOT been wet sanded and buffed! It could be buffed and possibly look a hair better even, but it really doesn’t need it. (you know the painter was excellent when he paints and no buff necessary) …

Meanwhile while all the above was happening…the engine, transmission, and the rear-end were ALL completely disassembled as well and professionally rebuilt. The engine was rebuilt to look almost stock with some performance upgrades such as a Comp Cam Part # 31-422-8 (533/270) as well as upgraded intake, correct HIPO exhaust manifolds C5ZZ-9430, And performance valve covers and breather. The transmission was rebuilt by ATC Augusta and they also did the rear-end. It is a limited slip rear end rebuilt with new ring & pinion gear set, new seal & bearing kit, and new differential clutch kit. Disc Brakes were added. Concourse hose sets and date coded hose clamps were used. All new lines, fittings, cables, fuel tank, brackets and so forth were used. It has new clutch, flywheel, and so forth… anyway you get the idea... new everywhere and COMPLETE restore. It has Hi-Po H-pipe 2 ¼” exhaust, KYB Excel-G shocks, and the list goes on and on.

The interior is all new as well including manual choke. Most of the interior was ordered from CJ Pony Parts with a few parts from Mustangs Unlimited.

The car was completed in 2015 and has been garage kept and loved. The car runs, rides, drives, handles, brakes, and sounds great in every way. It doesn’t need anything, and this is a no excuse and an excellent 66 fastback A-Code Mustang!

The new owners will be very excited and proud to own this Mustang.
