1991 Black Ford Mustang Coupe / Notchback
Description
1991 Ford Mustang Coupe Black Notchback! What a car! This is a great street/strip combo. I have owned this car for over a decade and have slowly improved on it year by year. It is originally a Florida 4 cylinder car that was trailed to michigan just over ten years ago. It was entirely rust free and was a wonderful starting point for a swap. A previous LX hatchback of mine was used as the donor car to complete the 5.0 swap. At the same time a '95 mustang car was used for the 5 lug conversion components. It was driven and enjoyed as a mild NA car before it was turbocharged about 4 years ago. The car has been tuned, idles and drives great. Based on my data logging with the laptop it has seen ~480hp as can be deduced from the MAF and injector data. Transmission and clutch were just upgraded last year. The 5spd is an Astroperformance gearset. (similar to G-FORCE) The clutch is a RAM Powergrip good for 500hp. It has fairly heavy clutch feel but very manageable in traffic.
Exterior paint is in 8/10 shape. It's a great "10ft paintjob". Not perfect by any means but looks wonderful driving around. I get lots of compliments on how clean and great the car looks. There is some gelcoat cracking beneath the paint on the hood and small rock chips and scratches as can be expected from normal daily use. The car was painted last about '09. No visible rust on any body or underbody surfaces. Extremely clean.
Interior has a few small panels missing and the headliner was never replaced. A few small squeeks and rattles but overall in pretty good shape. Heater core was replaced several years ago and the 5.0 wiring harness was installed during the swap. The interior has been dismantled and replaced a handful of times so some pieces panels don't perfectly line up as they once did. Could easily be fixed with time. Drivers side electric lock does not work with the button but all manual locks and keys work. Both electric windows work normally.
No fluid leaks, temperature issues, vibrations or unusual noises. Exhaust is fairly loud but not obnoxious.
Lots of good stuff here! Buy it and finish it or part some of it out and do your own thing! It has to go! This car is a great platform for any car enthusiast. Car is in I am too busy with work and new projects. Looking for a good home with a new owner!
