To compete with the Chevrolet Impala, Ford answered with the Galaxie or earlier known as the Fairlane 500. Either way, the styling was cutting edge and had a full line of engines that were offered during the fifteen year run to 1974. The 1964 model was the last year for the this body style. The interior was altered and the exterior featured a more sculpted look which ad the car more aerodynamic for NASCAR. This particular Galaxie is a very... presentable driver that is also mechanically sound. The engine has been swapped out for a very nice running and powerful 428 Cubic Inch V8, a new top and paint some years ago. There are a few cosmetic blemishes on the older paint which is reflective in the price of the car. However, Everything is in excellent working order. The top powers up and down flawlessly a new vintage air unit blows ice cold, all windows operate and lights as they should. The interior is in excellent condition and the car goes down the road with comfort and ease.
