1932 FORD 5 WINDOW COUPE, RUMBLE SEAT, FRAME OFF RESTORED TO ORIGINAL, BEAUTIFUL
Description
The time has come to sell my beloved all original 1932 Ford 5 window coupe with a rumble seat. My Dad and I purchased this car in October of 1976 I was 15 years old and car crazy. At the time the car was a mostly original super solid all Ford steel car which needed a full restoration. We worked on it on and off for a few years and collected many original parts along the way, knowing some day we would do a total frame off restoration. Well as time passed I became more interested in Chevy muscle cars and started to collect them. The old coupe was push into the corner of the garage and that is were she sat from 1980-2000. Then in 2001 we realized we had to get to work on the cars restoration. We both wanted the best original car around so we spared no expense on the restoration. There are only a few reproduction parts on the car. So if you are looking for a car that is ready to show and enjoy look no further. The restoration was completed in 2004 and the car still looks great and has only been driven about 300 miles. The color is Ford Medium Maroon with black fender and black belt moldings. The gold pin striping is hand applied as originally done at the Ford factory. The paint finish is deep and top quality and looks great in the sun. The 16 inch wheels are also Ford originals which were powder coated the correct Aurora Red color. The 5 hubcaps are also Ford originals and are beautifully restored. The tires are Diamond Back Classics wide white wall radials which add greatly to the ride quality. There is no bias tread wonder while driving, a real big plus. The interior features Lebaron Bonney taupe mohair with a brown rumble seat. The dash and garnish molding are also painted the correct matching taupe color. All gauges work properly as do the windows. The glass is all new safety script glass. The Flathead V8 engine, gear box and rear axle are all totally rebuilt and work flawlessly. The original front suspension was also totally rebuilt as were the mechanical brakes and the original shocks. The car features an original 25 louver hood for added cooling. Also original are the headlamps, cowl lamps, beep horn, steering column and ignition switch. The car runs and drives better than new and has received many first place AACA awards. Inspections are welcome and encouraged. Titled registered and insured in my name. The reserve price is far below the cost of the restoration. If you would like more info call me at 203-331-7234 Bob. Sorry no trades and please no dealer calls. Thanks
