1963 falcon futura 5.0 5 speed
Description
Car has lived in dry climate its entire life ( central California) . I removed glass, doors, molding - everything that comes off and looked for rust. Car was scraped, brushed, sande, sandblasted (in some spots) prior to application of POR and or rustoleum metal primer. I found NO rust that needed repair.DISCLOSURE : I found evidence of repair behind rear wheels, where moisture collected in trunk cavity and apparently rotted from inside out. The repair had been done with fiberglass . It looked pretty good and I left it alone.I found no other evidence of repairs and accident damage.
Modifications : IRS rear with LSD and disc brakes from Toyota supra.Front suspension is Toyota Supra. Steering is pinto steering rack ( aftermarket)Tilt brushed stainless (?) steering column. Correct aftermarket (new) brake booster for manual brakes. Subframe connectors, welded in place. Roll bar/ rear shock mounts welded in place. Supra seats ( power on DS) they work, are safe, and worn. Single stage PPG paint, no clear. Has never sat outside. New window seals front and rear.
1989 5.0 from Lincoln MkVII - stock forged pistons and roller cam. Rebuilt with rings and bearings and cleaning/ honing. Replaced oil pump.T5 world class from 1994 mustang GT. New main bearing, all else looks good when inspected. New clucth plate and disc. New exhaust.Brand new Hancook tires. Ford wheels.
No interior - no headliner, door panels etc etc.. Starts and runs, has been driven about 1 mile. Idles, does not overheat, sounds great - revs quick.Recommend complete sorting out, alignment, test drives on private roads etc.NO interior body writing ( headlights, turn signals, brake lights etc- none of those)A PROJECT CAR that needs completion.NO RESERVE.
