1966 Ford Thunderbird, 390 V8, ***NO RESERVE AUCTION***TOP BIDDER TAKES IT HOME!
Description
. NO RESERVE AUCTION.
Up for auction in a 1966 Ford Thunderbird that is located at our dealership in Kaufman,Texas. The vehicle was previously owned by an elderly gentleman that garaged it. The Thunderbird is in fantastic shape with very little wear for a vehicle of this age. The paint shines when we take it out from under its protective cover and boy does it turn the heads when driven. The seating is absolutely stunning to see, we have cars that are only 5 years old that the seating and carpet don't look this good. The interior shows almost no wear and you can tell this car has been treated like a baby. We purchased the car as a fun older car to enjoy with my son, but now that he is grown and moved out, the car is ready to move out too. This car was the top of the line back in its day with all the options such as: power seats, power windows even the small vent glass, A/C, directional turn signal lights, slide over steering wheel for easy in and out, power steering, and beautiful leather seating.
The Thunderbird is a 66 model and for the age is in really great shape. The paint is very shinny and clean with minor ding or scratches. There is a small ding in the front of the hood that can be seen in the photos and one scratch on the passenger door and the very bottom, hard to see. When we got the Thunderbird in it was not charging properly, so we replaced the alternator, battery, and regulator which seams to have fixed the problem. We have installed new KYB shocks on the front due to the old ones were worn out. The A/C compressor is brand new and now just needs to be charged to work. Tires are in good shape and all the original wheel covers are in great shape. The electrical switches on the car work just like any other 66 model I have had in the past 25 years in business, they work great most of the time, but on the two front windows have a mind of there own, normally just dust needing to be blown out. Manifold on the passenger side has a very small exhaust leak that you can only hear when first started up when cold, hard to hear, but would rather disclose. Motor and transmission are in really good shape and both run and shift great. With any older vehicle it may have some small leaks or seepage from age, but that is to be expected. One tail light has a small crack which can be seen in the photos. In the trunk the previous owner had purchased a number of brand new chrome parts, new emblems, manuals, and other parts that will be included.
The vehicle is being sold AS-IS with No Warranty expressed or given as per the laws in Texas. The new owner will be given a clean and clear Virginia title if the vehicle is being taken and to be title out of Texas. The only fee out of Texas buyer will be charged is a small $50 Doc fee plus purchase price. If the new owner is going to title the vehicle in Texas our dealership will collect all the applicable taxes, title transfer fees, license, state inspection, and doc fee for the state and we will process the title transfer for you. In Texas buyers will be provided a total based off the end auction price. The buyer will be responsible for all shipping cost, but we can help in setting up shipping at normally a lower price than can be found online. For this old of a vehicle it is best to ship or trailer the vehicle home. If there are any disputes to be resolved they will only be handled through Kaufman County in Texas, you agree to this by your bid. If you have any question prior to the auction closing please do not hesitate to call and ask Gary at 469-867-3771, happy to help. Ask all your questions up front because once the auction closes it is a binding agreement of purchase.
